The latest honor for Darren in recognition of his outstanding 
   baseball career took place on February 10, 2007 with his
   induction into the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame.  

   A native of Kansas and graduate of Arkansas City High School,
   Darren received the honor as the Kansas Baseball Association
   gathered for their annual banquet.  Darren's father, David, Sr.,
   accepted the honor on behalf of his son and read a letter from 
   Darren.  He was joined by Darren's mother, Carol, 
   and brother, David, Jr.  

   The Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame annually recognizes athletes
   from the state who have made a significant impact with their
   careers.  The organization has recently opened its headquarters
   within the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame, in Wichita, Kansas.
