Hello sports fans,
Boy do I love the people in and around Philadelphia.
I'm just returning from the launch of my book in the City of Brotherly Love where I had opportunity to reflect back on all of the great experiences that people provided me during my baseball career. I have to begin by thanking some people that went out of their way to make the inauguration of If They Only Knew something I will always remember.
First, thank you to John Conklin, Vice President of Relationship Marketing at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. This is a first class casino with professional world class people. Also to Dave and Christine Smith for their most gracious hospitality. It is sincerely appreciated.
I visited several great locations for book and autograph signings as well.
Thanks to Brian Cote and all of the staff at The FreshWorks of Port Richmond in Philadelphia. I found great fans and friends there, and the food is terrific.
I made a stop at the Chester County Book and Music Store in West Chester to sign books, sign autographs and take photos. Stop in to say hello to Thea and the staff and you can pick up a copy of my book. The book tour came to a grand conclusion with something I enjoy… bartending! Yes, Mitch Williams and I got back together one more time slinging drinks for SaVes4ALS, at McFadden’s at Citizens Bank Park. Corporate Synergies provided their friends and clients a night to get together for this great cause. As Elton John once sang, "Philadelphia freedom I love you, yes I do." Dutch
