Hey friends,
It's February and that means it's time that sports fans everywhere
turn their attention to baseball. When the last second ticks off
the clock at the end of the Super Bowl, we put another season
of gridiron action into the books. Now, it's back to the baseball
diamond.
Although I retired 10 years ago from the sport that I love, I can
remember every first day of spring training I was lucky enough
to have. For the players, returning to the field is always
something special. For the guys who are heading to Major
League parks everywhere it is a dream come true. I know for
me it was.
2008 is going to be a year full of baseball-related activities for me.
I've begun work on a new book about my life in baseball and the
memories of teammates that made it special. I'll be part of
creating a baseball instruction camp for young players and
taking part in teaching them how to improve their skills. And I'll
be joining with teammates from 1993 to celebrate the 15th
Anniversary of our trip to the World Series.
