April / May, 2007 Welcome friends, to Darrendaulton.com, my new home on the
internet. This website is a great way to stay in touch with friends and
fans around the world. I can share my thoughts with you, whether
about what's going on with baseball - my old pastime - or what's
happening in the world and future - my new passion.
Most of you were brought here because of my baseball career.
Maybe you knew me as a catcher with the Philadelphia Phillies
or Florida Marlins. What a great time that was. Playing baseball
in Philly was amazing. My teammates and I won the 1993 National
League pennant and went on to play in the World Series. While
we didn't bring that trophy home, we experienced an awesome
opportunity.
When I was traded to the Marlins, the dreams of my youth were
realized. In 1997 I was part of a team that won the World Series
and I had the ring I wanted from the time I first stepped onto a
baseball field.
Everyone's life evolves; just think about your own. We learn new
things, embark on adventures and all the time our experiences
grow. So with me. I'm not sure where this site will take us but
I assure you that it will be a fun place to visit.
This site is for everyone. There is always an opportunity to learn
something and I guarantee you will learn something from me.
